About
Her full story
Described as a modern soul narrator with vintage warmth, Nevaeh Weaver is a Nashville based soul jazz and R&B vocalist whose music blends timeless jazz textures with the vulnerable clarity of contemporary soul. Her voice, equal parts power, grace, and emotional truth, invites listeners into a space where inner experience, faith, and self discovery converge.
Originally from Western Pennsylvania, Nevaeh grew up in a predominantly white community where she often felt out of place. In the midst of that experience, music became her sanctuary, a place where she felt grounded, understood, and free to express who she was becoming. Singing gave her language for emotions that words alone could not always hold.
Inspired by the vocal honesty of Lauryn Hill and the timeless refinement of Billie Holiday, Nevaeh began shaping a sound that bridges eras. Her music carries the warmth and storytelling of jazz while embracing the emotional depth and vulnerability of modern R&B.
Now based in Nashville, Nevaeh is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Commercial Voice with a Music Technology emphasis at Belmont University. Her artistic work reflects both sides of her creative world. She has a curiosity for studio production and a deep commitment to expressive performance. Together, these elements allow her to craft music that feels both technically thoughtful and emotionally intimate.
As a young Afro-Latina artist, Nevaeh grounds her work in themes of identity, resilience, and belonging. Her songwriting explores love, spiritual grounding, healing, and personal truth, often reflecting the same questions and discoveries that shape her own journey.
For Nevaeh, music is more than a craft. It is a form of soulful truth telling. Each song becomes a bridge between who she is and who she is becoming.
She is currently developing new material that explores love, identity, and restoration through the lens of jazz, soul, and modern R&B. Her music invites listeners into a space where vulnerability becomes strength and where story becomes sound.
